  Are you an 'Ex Witness' or just you?

  i just wondered how people feel about this?

  - do some only mix with other ex witnesses a couple of my friends, and it seems that by definition, they are 'ex witnesses' almost like a religion in itself.

  - i would never define myself as an 'ex employee of xxx' as you leave it behind it doesnt define you.

  jigme wangchuk, from boston, is now revered by hundreds of thousands of followers in nepal, bhutan and india after taking up residence as the rinpoche, or high priest, of the drukpa sangag choeling monastery in darjeeling, west bengal.. the 11 year old from st peter's school in boston has been given the title of his holiness the second galwa lorepa, head of the drukpa sect.

  Time of The END ????

  a number of religions ,not just the wacky dubs, claim we are in the "time of the end ".

  now, leaving out silly numbers and 1914, which was blown away years ago, what do such apocalyptic doom-mongerers have from scripture to give this idea credence ?.

  the only thing i can think of , apart from the "cry of peace and security " which is no proof at all, is daniels dream image in dan chap.

  If you support her decision, then you will, no doubt support her shunning of you, as well.

  Good point. I guess I don't support her decision.

  "Sis, if I knew what I know now, there's no way I would have been baptized.
  If I tell you what I know now, and you tell others that I told you, they will shun me for the rest of my life.
  If you get baptized, you may be in the same predicament I am in."

  That's about perfect.

  unduly: to an undue degree; "she was unduly pessimistic about her future"

  undue: Excessive; going beyond that what is natural or sufficient

  50? Wow. Do you know what caused her, at this point in her life, to become infatuated enough to want to be baptized?

  Her new husband had been baptized about 20 years ago. He's only been to a handful of meetings in the last 15 of those years but just recently decided he wanted to go back. She's just going along.

  If you had a friend getting baptized, what are the first 3 (simple) points you'd share with them? (or questions to ask them a la Reasoning Book style)

  Yes, she did ask me what I think about it. I told her I would support her decision whatever that is. But that doesn't mean I can't still share a few other thoughts. She's not much of a student, so she's not going to read books with an opposing view.
